The Emerson Software Center of Excellence unites Emerson's
many software groups by facilitating the consistent application
of best practices in all dimensions of software engineering,
including people, process and technology. The center promotes
software re-use and maintains a virtual network of external
resources to support cost-effective engineering.
The primary roles of the Software Center of Excellence
include: coordinating training, education and assessments;
identifying expert resources; conducting competitive analyses
and benchmarking; and identifying and evaluating new tools
and technologies.
